The B.Voc in Optometry program from Guru Kashi University aims to provide students with a robust  foundation in the principles and practices of optometric patient care. The goal is to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist ophthalmologists and optometrists in providing complete eye care by building their proficiency in clinical procedures, patient management, and optometric technology.

  • Skill Development: To build the practical skills necessary for efficient patient management, give thorough instruction in optometric patient care practices, including patient evaluation, diagnostic procedures, and the use of optometric equipment.
  • Professional Education: To guarantee a thorough awareness of the field, provide thorough knowledge pertaining to the principles of optometry, including the theoretical, clinical, and historical elements of eye care.
  • General Education: To offer a well-rounded academic foundation that supports critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities in the context of optometric practice, include pertinent general education courses.
  • Employment and Entrepreneurship: Give students the tools they need to launch their own optometric or healthcare-related businesses, as well as prepare them for fulfilling work in a variety of optometric settings, including clinics and optical shops. 
  • Adaptability: Enable students to adapt to and excel in the evolving field of optometry  by staying updated with advancements in technology and patient care techniques,  ensuring they are prepared for ongoing changes in the industry.
